Activity:

1. List three sports that have emerged in the last few years and explain how their emergence has affected career opportunities in sport management. List and discuss three sport management settings that might represent job opportunities for sport managers.

2. Describe the sport industry model and its three sectors, and provide examples of sport organizations in each sector.

 

Discussion:

What is critical thinking, and why is it vital in the sports industry? Post your definition of critical thinking based on your research. Create an example in sports management and address this question: What are the issues, and what is the conclusion?

 

Paper:

Research an ethical situation in sports faced by sports managers. Write a 750-word paper addressing the five categories on “A Framework for Ethical Decision Making” according to your ethical situation.
